Billing clients and managing invoices can be a headache for small business owners. Most accounting programs are difficult to understand, due to their complex interfaces and tangled functions, but this is not the case with Solar Accounts. It provides you with everything you need to create invoices, manage transactions or bank statements and more. The best part is that it is much easier to use than other accounting software.

Although Solar Accounts is not free, its trial version is fully functional and you can use it without any restrictions, until it expires. It will not hinder you with any kind of notifications or reminders to purchase the product. If you want to buy the program, you can choose to order a CD or download a setup file. It weighs in at 23.2 Mb and it will install the software's components in less than a minute.

Solar Accounts allows you to work with multiple businesses in parallel. Each business is saved as a single file, on the hard drive, along with any information, from invoices to personal settings. If you want to create a new business, you can specify its name, type, contact information and set up its VAT details. When you launch the software, you will find its main menu on the main interface and you can select its options to create a new business, open an existing one, view a sample business or close the program.

As previously suggested, Solar Accounts makes it quite easy to organize financial data. While a business file is loaded, you can manage invoices, customers, suppliers and more, in various sections of the interface. When you create an invoice, a transaction or perform other tasks, you may expect one or more notifications that you forgot to select or create something in a different section. Even if you encounter such a message, you will find it quite easy to spot and rectify your mistakes, due to the program's user friendly design.

Customers and suppliers must be added in separate databases, but the procedures are identical. You can specify various details about a customer or supplier, including a balance or VAT information. When you create an invoice, a payment or expense entry, you can select a customer or a supplier in a drop menu. Once selected, the software will insert the client's or supplier's information automatically, in the appropriate fields. The program also includes a large number of predefined accounts, cash on hand, petty cash, credit cards, premises costs and much more. Besides clients or suppliers, you can also select an account and the software will send the money to that account or withdraw it. You can also prepare VAT returns and save them as PDF files or reconcile bank statements.

Besides managing your finances, you can also create invoice and email templates. When editing an invoice template, you can move and resize individual tables, insert logos and more. Email templates consist of variables, which are useful for creating personalized emails for your contacts.

Pros

The software allows you to create and organize invoices and transactions, prepare VAT returns or reconcile bank statements. You may also customize your own invoice and email templates.

Cons

There are no serious disadvantages to mention. With its flexible and easy to use tools, Solar Accounts will help you manage almost any aspect of your business.
